So here 'tis.

Decided I could go two ways:

up the tempo to 160 and call it "Drum and Bass"

or

down the tempo to 90 and call it "Trip Hop"





Suffice it to say, I went with choice A.
A lil' bit of Steve Reich influence for all a y'all.

Alright, we're learning about sampling a lot, right?
Well, I'd like you to hear perhaps the MOST sampled drum beat of all time.
It's called the Amen Break.

It's only six seconds.

But at the dawn of the sampling era, it was perfect, because there is nothing going on but the drums for those six seconds of the song. No need to try and manipulate the recording or anything!
